Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) triaged this task as Needs Information from User priority.

We'll need steps to redo the crash, a crash log isn't enough.

I'm unable to reproduce at this point.
When I got the crash I had gone into these steps:

  1. enter edit mode for the shoes in the blend file
  2. rotate, resize, move
  3. go into object mode,
  4. resize the object
  5. Undo by Cntrl+Z several times, then the crash occurred.

However, I just tried to reproduce but couldn't.

Is there a way to enable core dump for blender. I imagine if I give you the core, you should be able to investigate it.
I have set "ulimit -c unlimited", but I don't see blender generating a core dump. I build from the source. Should I build the debug version? would that be more helpful?

never mind. I'm able to generate core files now. I'll make sure to include it in future tickets

We don't normally use core dumps, since we need to be able to redo the problem to ensure it's fixed.

A full backtrace of the crash from a debug build would help us for sure… But for now will archive since we cannot reproduce the issue.

We appreciate the effort that goes into making bug reports, but to be able to fix bugs we have to be able to redo them.
If there is anything you can provide to help others to reproduce the problem, be sure to include it.
