"dimensions" value error

Short description of error

If I enter a value for "dimensions", the value that I do not enter is entered.
If I drag the "dimensions" value, an error will occur at the other value.


Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

It is not entirely clear to me what you mean. Working fine here

  • what value are you entering (and what is the unexpected value that is 'entered' instead)?
  • what error will occur when you are dragging (at what 'other value')?
  • please also share your blendfile so we can reproduce...

This is because the object is parented to an other object that has been scaled.

The dimensions will modify the actual unscaled object. So for example, if you type in 1, the original object will get a Z dimension of 1, but this will then be scaled to 5.094 (the Z scale of the parent object).
