Operating system: Win10 64-bit
Graphics card: Nvidia 920m

Blender Version
Broken:
2.80, d415b5c7b8, blender2.8, 2018-12-11, as found on the splash screen)

Short description of error
Crash when transforming an object with curve modifier and instancing enabled.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

For this example I use a 1. Bezier Curve, 2. Plane, 3. UV Sphere:

  1. Select Plane, add a curve modifier and assign Bezier Curve.
  2. Turn on curve modifier options "Display modifier in Edit mode" and "Adjust edit cage to modifoer result".
  3. Set Plane as Parent of UV Sphere.
  4. Select Plane and go to "Object" properties, select "Instancing" and choose either "Verts" or "Faces".
  5. Still selecting Plane, go to edit mode and make any transformation, this is when the crash happens.

Other info, crash does not occur when options "Display modifier in Edit mode" or "Adjust edit cage to modifoer result" is not selected.

I'm guessing this is depsgraph related.
