Deleting object causes blender 2.8 to crash #59220

System Information
Operating system:Win 7 64 Bit
Graphics card: GTX 1070 x 2

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80, d415b5c7b8
(example: 2.79b release)
(example: 2.80, edbf15d3c0, blender2.8, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (optional) 2.79 (By appending the object)

Short description of error
Deleting, or otherwise hiding the one taillight mesh in the attached blendfile will crash blender every time on my windows machine, but not on my OSX laptop. Same behaviour when appending the object into a new scene, but not when appending the object into a new scene in 2.79

Strangely, after uploading the blendfile to blenderartists.org, if I downloaded the file and and then opened from the 'open' dialog in blender I'd get the crash, but not if I clicked the link and chose 'open with' and navigated to blender 2.8.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the file in 2.8, select taillight object, hit x to delete, or disable in the viewport in the outliner, or render the scene.Delete_and_Crash.blend

Looks like a corrupted file of some sorts...

I have stripped it down to a nodegroup (and I have even stripped it's contents).
It still crashes in various (and the most exotic) places if you hide/unhide [viewport icon] the cube in the outliner (sometimes needs a couple of tries...).

@Sergey: seen something like this before (I wouldnt know how to progress here...)?

Modifiers removed, still crashes.
Open new scene, append the mesh, create a new object and link the mesh to that object, same thing…

…edit mesh, select all, copy… Make new mesh, edit, delete all verts, paste from buffer, then it’s fine.

Also strangely if I download the file I uploaded to blenderartists.com name to my desktop and then open it from within blender, I get the crash. If I click the link in firefox and choose to open with rather than download, and navigate to blender 2.8, I can delete it fine…
