Description

System Information:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: RX 570 4GB
OS: Windows 10 Home

Blender Version:
Broken: Blender 2.8 7d4d9e9dbd3

Short description of error:
Whites are no longer an RGB value of 1, 1, 1.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error:

  1. Open the Blender and load the general startup files.
  2. In the materials tab for the default object select the base colour for the Principled BSDF.
  3. Go to the HSV tab and drag the "value" slider up to 1.
  4. Switch back to RGB and notice that the RGB is now 16.292, 16.292, 16.292 and the object emits light in the Cycles render engine.

I checked an older build 4c31bed6b46 from roughly the 30th of November. Both the issue I've reported and T58549 aren't there. They're probably related.

I remember having this issue back in the alpha, however it was fixed. I would link you to the commit, but I can't remember the name or many other details making it hard to find.
