Bezier curve object broken #59472

System Information
Operating system: Win 10
Graphics card: Geforce 1050 GTX

Blender Version
Broken: Dec 16 build
Worked: Dec 14 build

Short description of error
Bezier curves are broken. Vertices should be in between handles, now a curve vertex has a strange one sided handle, both handles are connected in one side from the vertex, I can move them separately, but this is crazy.

Maybe this is the cause for Eevee crashes, Cycles does not crash but does not render any of these curves.

It was ok in previous builds.

This may be related because font appears to be considered a type of curve:
Font crashes the Eevee and Workbench renderers if it is present in the camera's view frustum. Both can render font in the viewport, but going to render immediately crashes blender.

I was able to replicate this crash by opening the default scene (Eevee) and adding a single font object, and then pressing "F12" to render.

rendering curves crash in Eevee is already reported in #59399.

Bezier curves are broken. Vertices should be in between handles, now a curve vertex has a strange one sided handle, both handles are connected in one side from the vertex, I can move them separately, but this is crazy.

Not sure I understand correctly, Curve handles seem to behave as in 2.79 here.

  • could you share you blendfile and possibly a screenshot that demonstrates your issue? (along with what the expected behavior would be?)
  • try to describe what the "strange one sided handle" is or what you mean by "both handles are connected in one side from the vertex" or by "this is crazy".

marking as incomplete until we have a blendfile/description we can follow/reproduce...

Looking futher, I think this could be the same issue as mentioned in #59490?
