System Information
Operating system: Ubuntu 18.04
Graphics card: Intel HD 620

Blender Version
Broken: blender-2.80-a77b63c56943

Short description of error
I have written a script for baking. Part of this script adds Image Texture nodes and sets them to be selected before commencing the bake.

Even though the nodes appear to be selected, ***the bake will not work until these nodes are un-selected and then re-selected by the user.***Once you have clicked off and clicked back onto the nodes they work as expected, and the bake succeeds. No other changes need to be made. This is obviously not intended behavior.Exact steps for others to reproduce the errorOpen the attached .blend file.Without clicking on any of the nodes, use the Shader Editor to verify that the Image Nodes are indeed selected in each of the materials.

Try to bake emission. The baked image will be corrupt, and Blender will complain about no active Image Texture being present in one of the materials.

Now, deselect the Image Nodes in each of the materials by clicking onto another node, and then click on the Image Node again. Make no other changes or clicks. Now bake. The bake will work fine.

I also see this in the console repeated 100s of times.

ERROR: Python context internal state bug. this should not happen!

Along with:

WARN (bpy.rna): /home/sources/buildbot-x86_64-slave/linux_glibc224_x86_64_cmake/blender.git/source/blender/python/intern/bpy_rna.c:1419 pyrna_enum_to_py: current value '1' matches no enum in 'CyclesPreferences', '(null)', 'compute_device_type'
Info: Baking map saved to internal image, save it externally or pack it
