2.8 Bone Rotation Bug

I right now have an armature that, if any bone is rotated, Blender 2.8 will crash.

Here's what happened: I have a complex armature (I'm teaching myself to rig), and I needed a second armature with only two identical bones. So, I duplicated the armature, deleted all the bones in the second armature except for the two I needed, then went back to the original armature. But now, any time I try to rotate a bone in the original armature, Blender crashes.

Here's how to reproduce the error:

  1. Open the attached blend file in Blender 2.8.
  2. Select the armature named Armature.
  3. Change the armature from Rest to Pose.
  4. Select any bone, then press "R" on the keyboard to rotate.
  5. Watch Blender crash.

I was playing with modifiers and constraints when I found this bug, so it's possible that the bug is in this exact combination of modifiers and constraints, but I honestly have no idea what might be causing this.

Event Timeline

Jacques Lucke (JacquesLucke) triaged this task as Confirmed, Medium priority.

In a debug build an assert fails in WM_toolsystem_ref_from_context as soon as I select the armature.

Tried it out in a newer version: bug is fixed! Thanks!
