HDRI reflection in glass
Closed, InvalidPublic

I have 1 lamp and 1 camera in this scene so far.....thats it, period, no trees, no HDRI, nada. I think it's a perfectly ordinary glass shader but it gives you a reflection of a tree and is defo not transparent......there is an emitter behind it set to 50,000

A lot more information is needed.
There's a reason there's a bug report template when you add a new report. The point of that is that you fill it out, not delete it.

  • Can you supply an example blend?
  • Which renderer are you using?
  • Which version of Blender are you using?

We also need exact steps to reproduce the issue.

Sorry lost the run of myself. Rush of blood to the head and all that

Win 10 64 bit pro
i9 14 core intel extreme overclock
64 Ram
NVIDEA Titan Pascal

2.8 beta i98e4cbedbb7

Render was in cycles

Sorry but I got carried on working on the file so it will have changed from exactly that spot but I'm sure you can recreate........also please forgive me I'm new at this stuff

Thanks a lot. Can you just post the blend file here and not on Facebook? You can just drag it into the text field.

Thanks again

Sorry....wasn't on FB ............that was me sending myself the link through FB messenger as it came from another computer and networking a MAC and a windows system is a bit above me. so I pass stuff back and forward to myself from the two different systems......I know .....nuts huh.....but it's a good hack.

Also didn't know if you could attach 225 meg files

Can you please remove everything irrelevant to the bug and make a tiny blend file, then post it here. No Facebook links please.

You are in lookdev mode which by default has an HDRI.

Indeed. This doesn’t seem to be a bug.

Thanks so much for clarifying guys. Please keep up the great work.....The new program is really getting to be a world class tool.
