The error does not always appear, I have tried to replicate it from a new file but it works correctly. That is why I upload a file in which the edge is chosen. If you press the f key, the error should appear.

You have an area where on one side you have faces and on the other you have a line of edges that you want to convert into faces using the f key. It is pressed and an error window appears. It seems that he could not execute the action but now when you want to choose the surrounding vertices he does not recognize them. If a distant vertex is chosen and it is altered in some way moving it, the face that is tried to be created appears and everything returns to normality.

Thanks for making possible something I lovebug.blend

I can not reproduce this. I do not get the error and the face is created correctly if I just open the .blend file and press "f".

Could you try the latest blender beta (from today) and see if this still happen to you? If so, can you show me the error message?

Aha, you were using the F2 addon. You should have told me that :P

@lichtwerk hope it's ok that I assign this to you.
