Vertex Weight assigning to bone Issues in 2.8 #61719

Comp: Alienware 17R4 i7 Core-7820HK CPU @ 2.90 GHz
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics Card 1: RTX 2080 Ti 11GB
Graphics Card 2: GTX 1080 8GB

Blender: 2.80 beta
Broken: 790cb7799d, 2/19/19
Worked: ?

Weight assigning vertices to bone does not allow anything other than 0.0 or 1.0

i'm not sure why some meshes work and some do not, I saw this happen earlier with another armature, but i deleted it and started over and the problem was solved.
But i do not want to lose all my work, the whole mouth is rigged already.

Even if i set it to .01, it reacts as if i have full strength 1.0 assigned to the vertex.

this is a huge issue, and i need help with this. also if could be a bug.

It seems as if you are using an addon here? Did you try and do this normally via the Properties or with Weight Paint mode, without the addon?

Actually, this is a feature in Blender 2.8 it’s not an add on that I’m aware of. But even so yes I just tested this with the weight options in the properties panel as well. Same results
