Problem refreshing the view when changing
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Operating system: MacOS
Graphics card: Radeon Pro 560

Broken: 2.8 (15.02.2019)
Worked: 2.8 (02.02.2019)

I made the scene (interior), I added the area lamp, I set the color as node blackbody. When I change the blackbody to any value, it does not refresh my color and lamp power in the viewport render. The same occurs when I do unwrap. The view refreshes only when I do: CTRL + Z, then: CTRL + SHIFT + Z.

Can you make a demo file that shows this? Thanks.

@William Reynish (billreynish) Okey, in 14 and 24 sec i do CTRL + Z, and CTRL + Shift + Z. At the beginning of the movie, I will bring the lamp and the light stays in the same place as well. You can also remove the lamp and it will be clear. Only after the above mentioned key combinations will everything die away.

Ok. Can you make a demo file that shows this? Thanks.

How do I create a demo file? Do you mean ordinary .blend? If so, the problem occurs every time I open any file.

Yes, can you make a simple blend file that demonstrates the issue and post it here. Thanks

Okay. I forgot to add that the problem only occurs in cycles. At evee, it's good.

Cannot reproduce the issue. And there is no blackbody node in your file.

I added a blackbody node to drive the Emission color and it works normally.

Please make a demo file that actually demonstrates the problem.

The problem does not occur only with blackbody. You can simply change the color of the lamp like me on the film. As I raise, I remove the lamp, it also does not refresh. This is not related to blackbody.

Ok, well, I cannot reproduce the issue here on macOS 10.14.3.

I have the same system version.

What date is your build from? The one on builder.blender.org is outdated.

I have this version from builder.blender.org. If there is an outdated version, why is it still there?

On builder.blender.org you can see the build date. In your bug report you wrote 19.02.2019 which isn't true if you used a build from the 15th.

Okay, I'm sorry, I looked at today's date instead of the date of the compilation.

So what’s the status here? Still an issue? @Clément Foucault (fclem) might also want to have a look?
