It seems, IK counts initial axis, not current. Here the demonstration:


And little bending is not help (yes, i know how to prevent situation with TrackTo)
But there should be something like adjustable friction or plane priority, prevents such jumps and keep initial bending plane permenent if it is possible.

It seems to me that it's not a bug. It's a reason why Pole Target was created:

As stated, this is why pole targets exists.

Pole target acts like a side force. But there is no friction forces inside hinges.
As I said, I know about pole-tartget, but it fixes symptoms, not the reason.

Okay, I'll suggest it as feature then.
