Clicking "Remove Double Vertices" makes blender crash

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I'm providing a file with which you can reproduce the bug. Here are the steps:

  1. Open file
  2. In viewport, right-click (vertex Context Menu)
  3. Select Remove Double Vertices
    4... crash!

This is an important new bug for me, because I use this feature very often.

I can't reproduce this on my end.
Does it happen for you with software rendering?
Download this dll and copy it so its located in the same directory as 'blender.exe' and run Blender normally.

The DLL you gave me doesn't solve the bug: I copied and pasted opengl32.dll in the same folder as blender.exe, run it, followed the same 3 steps process I described and got the same result: crash.

It crashes in wireframe mode... just as in the provided file.

What else can I do for you?
