System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX1070

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c0, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
When using windows remote desktop to connect a PC, Blender was unable to start and showed it requires OpenGL 3.3.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

  1. Close Blender, connect to the PC with remote desktop, then start Blend --> crash.
  2. Open Blender first, connect to the PC with remote desktop, blender works. But if we try to open preference window, --> crash.

This is because the remove desktop software is unable to provide OpenGL 3.3 support.
This is not a blender issue.

Either to switch to something that is able to provide 3d acceleration on remote desktops or you download this dll and copying it so its located in the same directory as 'blender.exe' and run Blender normally.

That .dll will use software rendering instead and will be very slow.

Remote desktop doesn't support opengl, not much we can do here, as @ZedDB suggested you could use a software renderer but that'll be agonizingly slow, other remote control solutions like vnc and team viewer may work better in this regard.
