System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.15063 64 Bits
Graphics card: Quadro K2200/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 416.78

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 51), branch: blender2.7, commit date: 2019-03-25 00:55, hash: 07f6be87a9
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
I can't select many object to append to my scene, because I can select object only in one step. Second selection with shift doesn't work. I know, that I can select whole Collection, but I must remember which collection include my objects. In old blender 2.79 It works fine. There is possible select objects to append in many steps.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

I can't reproduce this. If i select multiple object to append, they are appended correctly.

Might be the same problem as #62925, confusion regarding the shortcut to open link/append?

If not we need more exact steps on how to redo.

Please try select 6 objects, but with 2 x 3 object - using bouding selection. I tried and when I selected second three objects, first 3 objects were deselected... Do you understand me?

I don't really understand you, no.

I tried to append 6-7 objects with box select and it seems to work fine. Perhaps it has already been fixed in the build I'm using so you can see if this is still an issue in tomorrows build.

I mean something like this:

How to add selection second group of objects?

You simply hit B and select them?

OK that solved my problem. In Blender 2.7 was no need to press B to add second selection, but just continue selection with left click. Now works fine for me. Thank you. Please close this topic.

I've made shift drag work to extend the selection, as is standard behavior on most operating system.

Other than that I don't think there's a bug here.
