Driver is always in World Space, changing to Loca Space or Transform Space changes nothing

  • Add Driver
  • Set Driver Space from World Space to Local Space

@mont29 the delta transforms in this case moves to object so the driver eval is technically correct. However, it is a bit confusing as the location is written as 0,0,0 while the driver uses the actual final location of the object in local space.

Hm, no expert in rigging here, but isnt this supposed to work in relation to parenting/restpose?

  • Local Space: Transforms include effects of constraints but not parenting/restpose
  • World Space: Transforms include effects of parenting/restpose and constraints

Afaict, Delta Transforms add to both Local Space & World Space; in case of no parenting: isnt it the same anyways?

Now if we add parenting to the mix, I see Local Space & World Space making a clear difference:

(in this case Z in local space is zero, but in world space is 1)

Tbh, I dont see a bug here, will close.
@Chili_Turtle : please comment again if this is a misinterpretation from my side, we can always reopen then.
