Event Timeline

Sebastian Parborg (zeddb) lowered the priority of this task from 90 to 50.

@Bastien Montagne (mont29) the delta transforms in this case moves to object so the driver eval is technically correct. However, it is a bit confusing as the location is written as 0,0,0 while the driver uses the actual final location of the object in local space.

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the task status from Confirmed to Needs Information from User.Thu, Jan 30, 12:08 AM

I have re-triaged this report and can not reproduce it.
Can you please check if this is still an issue in latest build?

Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) claimed this task.

Hm, no expert in rigging here, but isnt this supposed to work in relation to parenting/restpose?

  • Local Space: Transforms include effects of constraints but not parenting/restpose
  • World Space: Transforms include effects of parenting/restpose and constraints

Afaict, Delta Transforms add to both Local Space & World Space; in case of no parenting: isnt it the same anyways?

Now if we add parenting to the mix, I see Local Space & World Space making a clear difference:

(in this case Z in local space is zero, but in world space is 1)

Tbh, I dont see a bug here, will close.
@Mr. Turtle (Chili_Turtle) : please comment again if this is a misinterpretation from my side, we can always reopen then.
@Alexander Gavrilov (angavrilov) , @Sybren A. Stüvel (sybren) : please correct me if I am wrong in the above...
