Short description of error
When switching to the texture node editor, it defaults to an empty texture type.
Additionally, the "World" texture type is missing the texture selection list at the top, so no texture can be manipulated or created.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Switch window to Texture Node Editor > No Type is selected
  • Switch to "World" Texture type, texture selection and creation is missing in the header

@William Reynish (billreynish) I'm guessing this is a UI issue. However, feel free to reassign if this is not for you.

This is a leftover from Blender Internal, there are no more world textures.

I tend to use the World texture panel for procedural textures I use in the Compositor. The Brush or Line Style categories don't quite fit, maybe renaming World to Compositing might be useful?
