Ctrl + Shift + Left click works for me in sculpt mode.

Please follow our submission template and guidelines and make a complete, valid bug report, with required info, precise description of the issue, precise steps to reproduce it, small and simple .blend and/or other files to do so if needed, etc.

A guideline for making a good bug report can be found here:

Not sculpting, but rotoscoping. Drawing a mask for rotoscoping in the MCE.

Also, once the mask is drawn, you cannot select the vertices and adjust them with left clicking, only with right clicking and dragging. It should all be left clicking.

Sebastian Parborg (zeddb) raised the priority of this task from Needs Information from User to Confirmed, Medium.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) the keymap suggests that the selection should be on left click (if left click select is used). However it seems to still use right click select even if the keymap states left click in the binding.

Perhaps I should create a separate bug report, but also when in the MCE, right click controls the timeline and the time slider in the dope sheet. Shouldn't those also be left click?
