UV editing is very unstable even on low poly model

Short description of error
UV editing performance even on low poly model is very lagging - you can't just freely and smoothly works inside UV Editor, it just doesn't work like in Blender 2.79.
I know that this is still Beta, but I decided to remind that and also because some people are saying that everything is works great, which is not true.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Launch Blender.
  2. Enter UV edit mode
  3. Try to move anything - it will be very laggy.

Hi, for me everything works blazing fast. I think you need to try to track down the problem somehow.

I even subdivided the cube to have 790000 triangles and the lag is there but actually slightly smaller than in 2.79.

Right, we need a .blend file to reproduce the problem. Also try with Load Factory Settings to see if some specific preference or add-on affects it.

This problem is really popular among all of my friends that are testing Blender 2.8 so it's not an individual problem.
It sometimes works fast at start, but after a while when you work longer on the project it starts lagging.

Here is one object from that scene but it's still works like on the video - I had to delete most of them since it's my personal project.

Edit: I've also reset everything to default just for test, and cleared temporary all my config startup python files and problem is still there.

I can't reproduce with this file.

Please try with Load Factory Settings to see if some specific preference or add-on affects it. There are add-ons enabled in your video.

Further, the settings and mesh in the attached .blend don't match the video, for example subsurf is on in the video but not the .blend.

I use many addons so I decided to clear every one that I had enabled and it fixed the problem so it was my fault, sorry guys - UV editing is fast as it should be :)
