Edward Agwi (SHiv0r) updated the task description. (Show Details)
Edward Agwi (SHiv0r) edited projects, added BF Blender: 2.8; removed BF Blender.

It's because the operator lives inside the keymap and is only loaded when the keymap is selected.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) What to do? Currently this is just a limitation, although I guess we could add the ability to directly set the mesh element modes inside Blender proper?

I would also very much like to see this fixed. I created a report about this a couple of days ago: T64809
