Short description of error
Lost instances of collections in Collada export

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I use the collections instances a lot. Unfortunately when I go to export the project from Blender to Collada format the instances are not converted. If there is no direct conversion, is it possible to convert the instances of collections into objects?

This bug is similar to this one: https://developer.blender.org/T54441

Event Timeline

sorry. Easter holidays stepped in between :)

I am not sure if we can preserve the assignment of objects with collections. But i can look into this. There might be a possibility to get this to work. But it needs a bit of investigation.

@Francesco Sorrentino (zeirus) : Can you provide a demo blend file so that i can be sure i am inspecting what you actually mean and not what i think that you mean ? Thanks!

Sure! :-)

I give you both the .blend file and the conversion to .dae format

Addenda: I realized now that the texture in the Collada format conversion loses the original mapping coordinates, appearing deformed on the object.
