The slider covers the gradient marker at the end. Hard to pick. You will pick the slider instead.

Open Blender, add mesh, go to texture paint mode, add a texture.

Activate gradient to reveal the tools. Move the mouse over the right gradient marker. The slider will go in the way.

I think you mean to say the scroll bar covers the color stop, but the image communicates the issue.

Ah, indeed, mixed slider with scrollbar here. The scrollbar covers the color stop. Sorry for miscommunication :)
