Short description of error
Objects with refractive materials appear with a checkerboard pattern in the final Render Result. A saved PNG file is actually transparent in these places. Both the viewport preview and the Cycles render look correct. This issue only appears on my notebook with Intel graphics. The same scene renders fine on a PC with an Nvidia card.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- Create a new material on the default cube
- Set Transmission on the Principled BSDF to 0.85
- In the material settings, enable "Screen Space Refraction"
- In the render settings, enable "Screen Space Reflections" and "Refraction"
- Render the scene
