Short description of error
not fixed orthographic view mode.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
when i try to zoom in\out my view pressed ctrl+shift+MMB - orthographic mod switched on perspective.
and if i use some of side view (left\front\top\right), and try to rotate my view - orthographic mod turned off again.
i need strong 2 different view modes, which will not shut off on their own.
when i modeling some buildings - i need correct orthographic view, and i do not want to always switch and switch view modes.

Looks like you want Auto Perspective turned off?

hi! yea, i found these checkbox, but it is just 1 half of problem.
when i try to zooming with <ctrl+shift+mmb> - ortho-view is turned off. yes, i have mouse scroll wheel, but if i sculpting or painting using tablet - i need to use shortcut for zooming, and all it turn off orthographic view mode.

i think it's right to completely divide these two modes.
i see no reason and no convenience in automatically changing the modes.
it is very easy - press "num 5" to change view mod when i need it. none of my actions should change the mode automatically.

i still think that automatic view mode change when using <ctrl+shift+mmb> - is a bug.

Yes, it seems that "Dolly View" (Shift Ctrl Middle Mouse, and other forms of Dolly View) switches out from ortho. That's a fair bug I think.

okay, i'm new in blender and in blender community: need i to do something with these request? or now it's registered bug-request, and we have chance to fix these bug to release?

I am not quite sure this is a bug.
Orthographic view, being orthographic, does not really have a camera in space you can move. So if you perform a hotkey that is meant to move a camera ("dolly zoom"), it seems very logical to then switch to a mode where you CAN move the camera, e.g. perspective view. The alternative would be to either not do anything at all, or to just perform a zoom. But in the case of the latter, there already is a shortcut that does exactly that: CTRL+MMB.

ouu!!... it changes a lot! thank you!
maybe this was a problem with my version (29 apr) (i also had a problem with extruding polygons, which are fixed in the version "mai 01"), and I'm absolutely sure that I've tried all the possible combinations, and CTRL+MMB too (as I understand - they did not work because I did not use it. because I would never have to use a few keys, if you can zoom in with just one key.)
but in build of mai 01 - these shortcut work, and work polygon extrude correct. apparently I just was not lucky to start studying a blender from a bad version))

i am very grateful for your explanation and for the help!

how can we close this request so as not to clog the help-center?

Glad I could help! :) I'm closing this report now. (Marking as Invalid though, since it was not a bug in the first place)
Cheers!
