Render Viewport Image result has blocky edges #64631

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: GTX 1050Ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.86, May 14, 01:41:02 - a5b5bd2c24
Worked: not sure

An Eevee viewport image looks great, but when chosen View > Render Viewport Image, the rendered result shows blocky edges no anti-aliasing. Have not noticed this problem before.

I have tried to increase quality of the viewport in preferences, which seems to work, but rendering viewport is still without anti-aliasing. Increasing Sampling value for viewport in Eevee settings also does not make any difference.

Some features do not work the same in the final render as in the 3D viewport, e.g. dynamic paint, hence my need for a good viewport quality render.

The quality of this is controlled by changing the render engine to Workbench and tweaking the samples there. The default was changed to lower quality for faster playblasts by default.
