Settings are gone from the Edit Menu

Save Startup File and Load Factory Settings is also gone

The settings Editor is stille there when I open it by changing an editor type to it.

Event Timeline (Stuntkoala) renamed this task from Settings gone from Menus to Settings, Save Startup File and Load Factory Settings - gone from menus.
Sebastian Koenig (sebastian_k) closed this task as Invalid.

It's now in the App Menu (Click on the Blender logo in the upper left corner)

Ok sorry fo the hasty Bug report then - I searched for it forever. It's kind of a weird change as this is imo not the position you'd look for it even when you come from other software. It makes sense though.

Thank you, George! Whoa... I agree with Simon, no one would think to click there. That's just a standard app icon to most people, and I would never have guessed it was even clickable... those options definitely should move back to their original menu locations. Thanks for all your hard work!

Changing the icon to a new menu called "Blender" was a stroke of genius. This is no longer a problem now... thanks for your continued innovation!!

As a side note, here are 3 unrelated but recent accomplishments that deserve acknowledging:

  1. I love how you removed the "Transform" tool in the newer builds, and just went with Move, Rotate, and Scale. Much more streamlined... very good idea.
  1. Hats off to the genius who came up with the new restriction toggles options in the Outliner. This definitely simplifies things, and is a really nice design!
  1. An absolute massive bug fix (occurred sometime between 2.80.55 and 2.80.69): now there is NO MORE LAG in wireframe mode when zoomed in on an object and a scene poly count of over 1,000,000 tris. I can now zoom all the way in with a scene containing over 9M tris and there is no lag at all on my GTX 970. You all have done such an incredible job with this, it's unbelievable... :-)
