Short description of error
Linked curves (CTRL+D) with curve modifiers are not deformed correctly with this button enabled

. Ctrl+A again doesn’t work properly (like you didnt have a modifier for the curve in the first place). If you make single user the "linked curve" it starts to deform correctly, if it stays linked it's broken.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Here's a file that shows all the problems above:

Literally try CTRL+A on any of them.
Also see the strange behavior of the "linked curve".

Event Timeline

Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) renamed this task from "Convert to" and curves/text are completely broken to Linked curves with curve modifiers are not deformed correctly.May 22 2019, 11:49 PM

@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht)
I thought it would be easier to show all of it in 1 file because it all seems related. So there's a problem with CTRL+A, curves with modifiers on them, and linked curves with modifiers on them. Do you think this covers it all or should i create another bug report?

Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) triaged this task as Confirmed, Medium priority.

For the other bug it appears we already have. So that leaves one bug for this report.
