Yo can see on the video, what happening.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create 3 collections in the root of scene: A, B, C
Make sphere in A.
Make cube in C.
Make measure on cube. (show measures)
Instance A inside B.
Exclude B and measure will disappear.

For the records (and feature reports): If you look at the console window (In Windows you can find it in Help > Toggle Console Window I think) you can see the errors in the addon.
