, June 15, 00:37:27Short description of error
When opening the file
testTransmissionCrash.blend
and switching view to Look Dev mode, Blender crashes.
Details
The error doesn't happen if Blender is started with CLI option --debug-gpu-force-workarounds.
It seems to be related somehow to the use of nodes for the materials of cube and plane in the file (regardless if simple diffuse BSDF is used or principled BSDF). If the plane doesn't use nodes, it doesn't crash.
Resulting files from run of the "blender_debug_gpu.cmd" script and causing the crash:
blender_system_info.txt
blender_debug_output.txt

Changed status from 'Needs Developer To Reproduce' to: 'Needs User Info'
This is a driver issue.
Please install the latest version of Intel graphics driver:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81496/Intel-HD-Graphics-4600
Also remembering that
Win 7
is starting to be set aside in maintenance. You may be more likely to see this problem fixed on Windows 10.
After installing the driver, let us know if the problem has been fixed.
I have now downloaded the latest driver and Blender 2.81a. It works now.

Glad to know :)
I will close then as resolved.
