Short description of error
Extruded text with transparent BSDF node loses viewed face in Rendered and Lookdev under Eevee but shows opposite face through the inside of the text.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Add text object – default font will manifest problem
Extrude text using Text tab > Geometry > Extrude

In Shader Editor, Use Nodes
Add Mix Shader between default Principled BSDF node and Material Output node
Add Transparent BSDF node and link to empty shader input on Mix Shader node

View the text in Rendered or Look Dev viewport shading.

Looking into this, it would appear this may not be a bug.

To get a transparent result the blend mode is set to alpha blend. When combined with show backfaces, the end result makes the backfaces appear more prominent.
