"VSE Transform tools" not correcting to actual aspect ratio of an image or video. #67029

Short description of error
In 2.79 while using an image in VSE, when it has different aspect ratio than video dimensions, when I activate the add-on by pressing "T" it adds an adjustment layer which corrects the aspect ratio of image to display it correctly. But the same thing is not happening in 2.8RC1 for the same add-on.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open Video editing workspace
Enable "VSE_transform_tools" add-on
add an image strip
press "T" to activate add-on
in 2.79 It corrects aspect ratio in newly created adjustment layer
in 2.8RC1 It doesn't corrects.2019-07-15 20-20-28.flv
