Hi, Developers

My 3D Connexion mouse is not working in this version. Worked in all other versions of 2.8 and 2.79. How could this be?

Hello, i tried the build from yesterday and there it works. So i guess it was just something in the release candidate than.

@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) Yes it was.
@Tjerk Otten (tjerkotten) Does it work now on RC2 ?

Hi All,

It seems to work in the new build. If anything curious happens, i will post it here.

@Tjerk Otten (tjerkotten) Does it work now on RC2 ?

Hi Arto,

No it does not work on the Release Candidate 2, but it does work in the daily builds. So, i don't know what up with that. What is different in the two versions?

We use same build configuration on RC as with buildbot.
Try what happens with clean configuration (--factory-startup), RC3 and daily.

It may be something in the code signing of the release candidates that causes the problem.

You can try running Blender from the command line and see if any errors are printed:

It's clearly an actual bug.

I was told it's good to close reports after over a week of it sitting on Needs Information From User? If it's clearly a bug it would/should be set to Confirmed, no?

It's for a developer to make a judgement about which ones can be closed and which ones need to remain open after that week.

I understand. Sorry for derailing this thread. I won't close inactive reports from now on.
