Short description of error
Blender simply crashed as i was selecting some of the four cubes i had on screen. only other objects were two cameras and the standard light.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup .blend file with the cube copied three times, select and unselect cubes at random. sorry, to say, it was no more than that.

I didn't managed to reproduce this bug. Tested with GTX 1080 last drivers on windows 10

thanks for trying.

i have now rebooted my computer and i will cointinue using RC2 and see whether there is a repeat.

i posted the matter because i think that crashes are what the developers most want to hear about. i will update this message over the weekend on whether RC2 crashes again.

I have a similar problem. While in Blender 2.8 RC2 Edit mode, I selected multiple faces to assign materials, and the program crashed. It has happened all three times I have tried to do this since yesterday.

Windows 10.0.17763
GeForce GTX 1080
NVidia Studio Driver 430.86

Does it happen with the latest build from here? https://builder.blender.org/download/

Sorry for not understanding, but should I download the 2.80 Beta and not the 2.80 RC2 and test the issue? I thought that the RC2 was the newer version.

The builds from the blender build bot is always the most recent version.

So you should download blender from that link and test, yes.

I tried to reproduce the error today in the 2.80 RC2 version again, but now the program did not crash. Nor does it crash in the most recent beta. Thanks.
