Blender won't pass from the very first gray screen #68297

System Information
Operating system: WIndows 10 x64
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 970

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80, release version
Worked: 2.80, exactly the same version, worked the day before

Short description of error
Blender will launch, both the little console and the "main screen", but it will be stuck in this sort of pre-launch state, and will become non-responding. The console will still hang in there, reading:

"Read prefs: C:\Users\usernamehere\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\config\userpref.blend
found bundled python: C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\python"

Blender will consume no resources, nor do anything no matter how long I leave it like this.
This is the first time that it happens, literally just came to this today after normally working with blender yesterday.

Never happened with pre-releases, and not even once in these days I've been using it before.

First, I simply restarted windows. After that, I tried to repair the program from the installer. Then, I fully reinstalled blender. Then, I went and updated my nvidia drivers, which had not been touched for at least two months. Nothing makes a change. Every other program functions correctly.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Sadly, I have no clue. It was working flawlessly yesterday. Shut down the computer for the night, open it today, and this is the situation.
Hope I can help you guys further.

UPDATE:

Seems like the issue is with the preferences, since I went and deleted them, and Blender launches like normal.
The only changes I did yesterday were to activate the add-on of BlenderKit, and changed the "Header position" from default to top.

I've kept a copy of the preferences folder, in case it can be of use.

If you find the necessary room to reproduce the problem, feel free to reopen it ;)
