Usual answer is to update your video driver from the card manufacturer's website.

Hi, I'm seeing the same result across two different computers. Latest GPU Drivers are installed.

The systems are both Threadripper 1950x's that had AMD gpu's (One was a 580 and the other an r9 290) They were both recently upgraded to Nvidia GTX 1660's. Old drivers were uninstalled and new drivers were installed, but the white screen still persists. Any other suggestions on a solution for this particular issue?

Thanks!

Already got the latest version, would have hoped such a high end card wouldn't run into these kinds of problems. I take it no fix will be forthcoming then?

Guess I'll have to shell out for Adobe CC.

Thanks for the response.

Hi. Just FYI on my resolution. It was a Driver I had for a Veikk A50 drawing tablet that was causing problems. I splashed on the Adobe CC suite and had similar problems loading Illustrator and AE. Ended up uninstalling half my programs before I found it. Now Blender and all loads just fine.

You may wish to start working your way thru your other installed programs, starting with and off brand peripherals.

Hope that helps. Three weeks of y life wasted but hey ho.

IMO threadripper mainboard need update to latest firmware to properly work with Blender, IIRC Amd at 2nd gen TRipper presentation show had same problem

Yeah. I don’t have too many drivers installed and I’ve tried to uninstall my amd card drivers but that didn’t seem to fix it. I’m probably just going to clone the drive of a working node and see if that resolves it.

I figured out my Blender white screen issue. It's interesting, but I have a small networked farm of 6 computers that are running crowdRender. Not all computers are plugged into a monitor and they are all run remotely. I just found that if you don't have a monitor plugged into the GPU Blender hangs on a white screen at startup. Its weird behavior, but, at least I now know why I had so much trouble.
