Graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(R) Graphics 550 Intel 4.5.0 - Build 23.20.16.4901
Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 75), branch: master, commit date: 2019-07-29 14:47, hash:
f6cb5f5449
Worked: (optional)
Short description of error
Bug is in rendered image.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Run newly installed blender. While in a default project, press [F12]. Picture has bugs (squares). After adding some texture, default cube still has bugs (see attached picture).

Please ensure you have installed the latest driver version from the Intel website, the last one I can find is 26.20.100.7000:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28991/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=88359
If that doesn't help, please attach a simple .blend file to reproduce the problem.
Thanks for an answer! If I try to install downloaded drivers from location you mentioned, I get and error. Description:
- Error Message: Computer Manufacturer Graphics Driver Detected
- Your computer manufacturer customizes drivers that run Intel® components on your machine.
My PC is notebook Acer Aspire F 15.
But actually I have the same problem on a desktop (another PC).untitled.blend
Then please attach the output of Help > Save System Info.
Ok, attaching...system-info.txt
Some additional information.
I borrowed nVidia GeForce 710 videocard for experiment and put it in desktop, rendered default cube as intended, without bugs.
So problem exists on both of my systems:
Intel(R) Iris(R) Graphics 550 (notebook)
Intel(R) HD Graphics 610 (desktop)

I had the same problem and posted about it. It seems to be related to using CPU + GPU.
CPU OR GPU works, but not together. Disabling CPU makes the bug disappear. If I can reproduce the bug I will post it here, it only happens every 2-3 days for me.
I wonder how much time would it take to get an answer. 'Needs Triage by Developer' is good, but is it possible to be more specific. Thanks

@Tonic-1 Is this still an issue with latest build? https://builder.blender.org/download/
Yes, it is. Version 2.82.6, just it checked on Intel(R) HD Graphics 610 (Win 10 desktop).

I was looking back over random reports and found this. The report lists CPU+GPU rendering as the cause for the issue but it seems the user is rendering with their CPU plus integrated Intel graphics. Isn't this a un-supported configuration?
This is not a Cycles issue, what @Muritaka reported seems unrelated to this bug.

Might be unrelated, but Tile artifacts with transparency can also be seen in #53334 (particles + motion blur cause artifacts)

Did the issue go away with 2.83? can you reproduce with 2.90 alpha? what if you run blender using the force-workaround batch file?
What is the system-info.txt of the desktop?
The driver of the laptop is really old and is known to have issues.
Don't know. See, I have 2.80.75:
Considering desktop - blender doesn't start anymore. Error message: "Blender - Unsupported Graphics Card or Driver [skip]"
Considering laptop - bug went away without either blender or driver update!
Desktop - doesn't start
I didn't try
I can't get it
I didn't update driver, but issue mysteriously went away by itself

Thx getting back!
Dont think there is much we can do then unfortunately...
That is great to hear, I think we can close this then?
