Short description of error
Undo does not work with paint mask selections. The expected behavior here is that undo should work as in other selection modes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Click on texture paint.
Select single image and create a texture.
Turn on paint masking, and then select the "select box" tool.
click on a face on the cube to select it.
Press ctrl-z.

Simple steps to re-produce:

  • Create Default Project
  • Switch to Texture Paint Workspace
  • Enable Paint Mask:

  • Select face (couple of times):

When you Undo / Redo (Ctrl + Z / Ctrl + Shift + Z) -->
Selection not effects in Viewport, however, I think, it's happening in background
