System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 436.15

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 75), branch: master, commit date: 2019-07-29 14:47, hash: f6cb5f5449
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
When user right clicks on a collection that contains hidden objects (as well as visible objects) and chooses the "Select Objects" menu item, the hidden objects are not selected.
This is a common issue observed when using boolean modifiers that reference hidden objects within the same group as the main objects that reference them.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Create a new General file.
  • Add another cube to the existing one and position it at different place (for distinction) and note the coordinates.
  • Create a collection and move both cubes into it.
  • Mark the second cube's visibility to hidden by clicking the "Hide in viewport" button (the eye)
  • Deselect everything.
  • Right click on the collection we just created and click on "Select Objects" menu item.
  • move the mouse to the main view.
  • Hit G and move the selection.

Expected behavior:
All objects within the collection should have been selected and moved.

Observed behavior:
Only the visible objects were selected and moved.

IMO not bug here, this feature is for Blender's design, maybe I'm wrong

Yes, this is by design, blender does not operate on hidden objects.

Thanks.

Is there a way to make a feature request on this site for Blender to include this functionality (perhaps as an option) as part of Blender?
Or from you experience, is it possible to make an add-on for this feature?

I have never written an add-on for Blender before. If you believe it is possible, then I would go, learn how to make it and will publish it. Otherwise, I won't spend time on it.

Cheers,
Armin
