Is this a bug report against Blender or against some After Effects plug-in?

If it is a problem with Blender's OBJ exporter, do you have an .obj file for us showing the problem?

This seems to be a blender installation conflict with my existing After Effects plug-in.
I just want someone to confirm this is the issue and help me with a solution.

No issues with OBJ exporter.

@alexaadamov91 if you uninstall Blender, do you still have the problem?

If that's the case, it will not be a Blender problem, but to confirm it you can uninstall Trapcode too.

In the end, reinstall trapcode and if you have it working just download the ZIP version of Blender and use that.

In the end Blender don't install anything apart from Blender itself, so the odds of it conflicting with anything else are very very low, keep in mind that you don't need to install blender at all, you can just unzip from the zip version and it would be the same.

Can you really confirm that you have no problems with 2.79 obj files?
And if that's the case can we have:

  • The 2.79 simple (a cube?) .blend file
  • The obj exported from that file, from Blender 2.79 (that is working well)
  • The obj exported from that file, from Blender 2.79 (that is not working)
