I don't know why and how, but I Blender simply refuses to do an auto bind the mesh in this scene to the armature. What gives???

1- Open the provided scene.

2- Try to parent the armature to the hand mesh with automatic weights.

3- Nada!!

Works as expected.

  • Select hand
  • Select armature
  • "ctrl+p" > "With Automatic Weights"

Thank you. But I need to need to know whether if this is a confirmed bug in the official release of v. 2.8. This is production work and I don't want to use the pre-release version unless absolutely necessary.
