Eevee Transparency (shadoow) issue in 2.81

Short description of error
A test eyeball render shows the cornea (transparent) area of the eye blackened in 2.81, this same file rendered fine in 2.8.
Attaching screen cap and a the test file. Note: Also tested this file as far back as the Sept 9, 2019 version and it is broken there too.

Not sure if this is a bug or a new setting that I have missed.



Event Timeline

This is not a transparency, shadow makes this effect, changing Shadow mode to Alpha Clip solves the issue.
I think, new EEVEE shadows can cause this problem

Yes, changing opaque to both "None" and "Alpha Clip" makes the excessive shadowing go away (I added shadow to the title, thanks for pointing that out). I still don't understand though what changed between versions as I did not have to do that in 2.8.
