Animation Rotation key-frame issue.
Open, Needs Triage by DeveloperPublic


It seems that Blender is not correctly recording linear axis rotations values (animation /key-frames).
Example video with the problem in attach.
I'm using last official Blender V2.8 downloaded from the site.

I just uploaded the requested files (in attach).

Since you could not reproduce the problem, I decided to test the issue with the default "Blender cube" mesh.
No problem with the Blender default cube mesh.

Yet, the mesh I'm using is an imported FBX object.
It was necessary to redefine the objects axis and re-parent them to the correct hierarchy (parent /child) for the intended animation to work.
Maybe the problem is related with this FBX import method?

No idea what is "the site".

Hello all,

I imported again the FBX object to Blender.
Here (in attach) you have a scene with the full object hierarchy already parented in Blender, (since the FXB import loses all previous parent/child hierarchy coming from the Software used to model the mesh, in this case Lightwave).

If one tries to rotate and key frame animate the Helix mesh (like in the initial video example I uploaded), it replicates the problem.
Hope this helps to solve the mystery.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong regarding the import or parenting workflow, but I can't see what.

NOTE: I'm new to Blender.
