Short description of error
The wireframe color is darker than the setting , when Wireframe Object Color is enabled.

Looks like Blender does not even try to display the object color exactly. You can see that when setting the color to black (in the viewport it is still gray). I guess the reason is simply that it would look bad otherwise? Don't know exactly.

When drawing the wireframe some shading takes place to get a sense of the surface. Active objects are shaded more bright so you can see them better from a distance. It is functionality. Wireframe is not intended to be visually correct. We can improve, but that should be designed.

Whether another feature is needed to make it use the actual color should be discussed outside of the bug tracker.
Hmm, if we stay purely in wireframe color, the objects only go to 50% or so brightness so it is difficult to understand what object color is set and what object color is displayed. Maybe there should be a setting to use exact color then?
