Noise Texture Fac output in Height bump node is broken if rendering with Eevee

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
open the file
turn the cube in the 3d viewport Area in material preview Shading



change render engine to Eevee
change material settings blend mod to Alpha clip

No such bug here (linux, 970m, 435.21 drivers).

Are OS and GPU drivers up to date?

the GPU drivers are with the OS from APPLE

for bender 2.80 the download pages says "Requires macOS 10.12+".
I have version 10.12.6 (16G29) it should work with blender 2.81, no ?

Today I tested blender version: 2.81 (sub 12), branch: master, commit date: 2019-09-30 22:00, hash: rB60a827a2a991
still no luck ..
So i tried to find updated drivers for the GPU:


None for macOS.

I then updated the OS to the latest: 10.12.6 (16G2136)
still no luck ..

I think we need someone on MacOS to reproduce...

I disconnected the noise texture color from the principled BSDF Base color, to make the bug show when opening the file.
