Short description of error
If I want to name or rename an object using F2, and I do not want to type in a complete new name. I cannot select a char, or go to the beginning of the name using my mouse.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Press F2 on any object
use the mouse to click on the beginning of the name
This does not work
use the mouse to select a few letters to replace them,
This does not work.
use the arrow keys on the keyboard to go to the beginning of the name
This does work.
When double-clicking with the mouse in the edit box, only the complete text is selected/deselected

If you rename/name an object in the object tree on the right, the mouse works as accepted. (but not when using F2)

Can confirm for the popup dialog.

Also note that doing this from the menu (Edit > Rename Active Item...) will immediately close the dialog when clicking anywhere...

works if WM_OT_call_panel is called with keep_open = True
