from 2019-10-10Short description of error
Tried to test a new build and found out that I cannot activate Add Curve: Curve Tools addon (0.4.0) - I simply cannot check the checkbox while other addons can be activated without problems, even those which are marked with "upgrade to 2.8x required". I'm testing on factory defaults so I'm absolutely sure that there are no duplicated addons or wrong settings. I have also tested this on multiple computers with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 and all of them seem to have the same problem. Addon version 0.3.3 on the previous build seems to be working.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open Blender, go to Preferences and try to activate Add Curve: Curve Tools. On my end no matter how many times I press the checkbox it doesn't get enabled.

I tested it here and the activation worked normally.
Does an error message appear?
Can you display the console, and show what appears there? (
Window -> Toogle System Console
)Each time I press the checkbox, console says " addon not found: 'curve tools' " but addon itself exists in scripts - addons - curve_tools and all the files seems to be in place. If I replace 0.4.0 with version 0.3.3 it gets enabled without problems.

from 2019-10-11 and 2.81 Beta95f020c853
from 2019-10-12 and Add Curve: Curve Tools appears to be working again in both. Perhaps something was wrong in a specific build? I think we may close this report for now.Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Resolved'
