UV editor overlays not working properly on MacOS
Open, Needs Triage by DeveloperPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Darwin-18.7.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits (MacOS Mojave 10.14.6)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon Pro 555X OpenGL Engine ATI Technologies Inc. 4.1 ATI-2.11.20
Hardware: MacBook Pro 15-inch 2019

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 15), branch: master, commit date: 2019-10-15 17:59, hash: rBcfb6ffd48f77
Broken: version: 2.80 (official release)
Worked: https://twitter.com/PabloVazquez_/status/1184951697015234560

Short description of error
Edge overlays in the UV Editor seems to be broken here and the default thickness is hard to work with on a retina display.
I was advised that a "white" or "black" overlay should make it thicker, and it barely affects it.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open Blender
  • have a mesh with a material and UVs, in edit mode
  • Go to the UV editor and show the current UV map
  • In the display panel, click the various "display as" options under "Overlays". Change is barely visible.

Note: in the system preferences, the "line width" setting doesn't seem to affect it either.

See attached screenshot.

Thanks a lot !
