Feature Request: extend alt + select for selecting between overlapping objects to the edit and pose mode of armatures
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Win 7 x64 Pro
Graphics card: RTX 2060 6 GB, GTX 970 4 GB

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80.75 (from the lower right corner, the splash screen shows even less)

Short description of error
When you are in pose or edit mode of an armature, it is sadly not possible to use alt + select to get the context menu for choosing between overlapping elements.
It seems this is still only available in object mode, but it would be nice if it wouldn't be exclusive to that.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create a single bone armature, go into edit mode, add another bone and alt + select it. Sadly it will not show the context menu for overlap selection that would show up in object mode.
The same applies to pose mode.
