Bridge Edge Loops crash when bridging cube edges #71311

Blender Version
Broken: 2.79, 2.80, 2.81 master (c1af9ef031)
Worked: Never (or before 2.79 anyways).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Take any cube and select side edges 1.jpg
  2. Right click and select "Bridge Edge Loops" 2.jpg
  3. And after we choose "Number of Cuts" and try to increase number by pooling or just adding any number 3.jpg
  4. Crash

Can confirm the crash.

BLI_assert failed: /blender/source/blender/bmesh/intern/bmesh_mods.c:270, BM_face_split(), at '!BM_loop_is_adjacent(l_a, l_b)'

This isnt exactly the intended usecase for the tool though, see https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/modeling/meshes/editing/edges.html?#bridge-edge-loops
(Bridge Edge Loops is intended to mesh open edge loops with faces, not really the case here...)

Still should not crash...
